Getting Started
How do I connect my bank account?
Head to the Connections page in your dashboard. Click 'Add Connection' and follow the prompts to securely link your bank through our encrypted connection. Your transactions will start syncing automatically within a few minutes.
How do I send my first invoice?
You can either text Toozi 'Send [client name] an invoice for [amount]' or go to the PayHabit section in your dashboard and click 'New Invoice.' Fill in the client details, amount, and hit send. Your client gets it via email and text.
How do I set up SMS?
Go to Settings → Connect SMS in your dashboard. Enter your phone number and verify it with the code we send. Once connected, you can text Toozi directly to manage your business — invoices, expenses, questions, and more.
What's the first thing I should do after signing up?
Three things: (1) Connect your bank account so Toozi can start tracking your income and expenses. (2) Set up SMS so you can text your agents. (3) Send your first invoice to see how TooziPay works. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes.

TooziPay — Invoicing & Payments
How do I send an invoice?
Text 'Send [name] an invoice for [amount]' or create one from the dashboard. TooziPay sends it via email and SMS, tracks when it's opened, and sends payment reminders automatically.
Can clients pay online?
Yes! Every invoice includes a secure payment link. Clients can pay with credit card, debit card, or bank transfer through our Stripe integration.
How do I track who's paid?
Check the Payments page in your dashboard. TooziPay tracks every invoice status — sent, opened, paid, or overdue. You'll also get a text when clients pay.
TooziBooks — Bookkeeping
How do I log an expense?
Just text Toozi what you spent — like 'I spent $47 at Sally Beauty.' TooziBooks automatically categorizes it and updates your running totals.
Does it categorize expenses automatically?
Yes. TooziBooks uses AI to categorize your expenses into standard tax categories (supplies, meals, travel, etc.). You can always recategorize if needed.
Can I see my profit and loss?
Yes — your TaxHub dashboard shows income vs. expenses, category breakdowns, and running tax estimates updated in real time.
TooziBills — Bills & Budget
How does bill tracking work?
Add your recurring bills in the BillHabit section. TooziBills will remind you before each due date and track your spending against your budget.
Can I set budget limits?
Yes. Set monthly budget targets for each category and TooziBills will alert you when you're approaching your limits.
Will it remind me about upcoming bills?
Absolutely. You'll get text reminders 2–3 days before each bill is due, with the amount and whether your account can cover it.
TooziTime — Time Tracking
How do I track billable hours?
Log time entries in the TimeHabit section or text Toozi with your hours. TooziTime calculates billable amounts based on your hourly rates and can generate invoices directly from time entries.
Can I invoice from tracked time?
Yes! Select the time entries you want to bill, and TooziTime will create an invoice with all the details — client, hours, rates, and total.
Does it sync with my calendar?
Yes. Connect Google Calendar in Settings and TooziTime will suggest billable hours based on your appointments.
TooziAdmin — Compliance
What compliance tasks does it track?
Business licenses, permits, registrations, insurance renewals, tax filing deadlines, and any other recurring compliance tasks. TooziAdmin reminds you well before due dates.
How far in advance will it remind me?
You'll get reminders at 30 days, 14 days, and 3 days before each deadline. For critical items like tax filings, you'll get additional reminders.
Can I add custom compliance tasks?
Yes. Add any recurring task with a due date and TooziAdmin will track and remind you about it.
TooziSales — Sales Tax
How does sales tax tracking work?
TooziSales tracks sales tax collected on your transactions and calculates what you owe by state. It reminds you of filing deadlines and shows your running balance.
Does it file sales tax for me?
Not yet — but it calculates exactly what you owe and reminds you when filings are due. Filing automation is coming soon.
Which states does it support?
TooziSales supports all US states with sales tax requirements. It tracks nexus thresholds and alerts you when you may have new filing obligations.
Troubleshooting
SMS isn't working — what do I do?
First, make sure your phone number is verified in Settings → Connect SMS. If it's verified but still not working, try texting 'hello' to our number. If you don't get a response within a minute, email hello@toozitax.app and we'll investigate.
My bank connection won't sync.
Bank connections occasionally need to be re-authenticated. Go to Connections, remove the existing connection, and add it again. If the problem persists, your bank may have additional security requirements — contact us and we'll help.
My invoice isn't sending.
Check that your client's email address is correct and that you have a valid payment method connected (Settings → Connections). If the email looks right, try resending from the invoice detail page. Still stuck? Text us.
I'm seeing incorrect tax estimates.
Tax estimates are based on the income and expenses you've logged. Make sure all your income sources are connected and expenses are categorized correctly. If something still looks off, text Toozi 'recalculate my taxes' and we'll refresh your estimates.
